Our Leadership
Pastor Tyler Harting
Lead Pastor
Pastor Tyler Harting is the founding and Lead Pastor of Franklin Chapel. He was born in Olney, Illinois into a ministry family. Kentucky became home for Tyler when he was 9 years-old as his father followed a call into pastoral ministry. At the age of 16, Tyler felt the call on his life to be a pastor.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Christian Ministries and Theatre Arts from Lindsey Wilson College and then his Master’s in Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He has spent his ministry career in a variety of roles including pastor, youth and children’s pastor, and chaplain in both college and camping ministry settings.
Pastor Tyler is married to Jessica who is an Interior Designer and originally from Bowling Green. They moved to Franklin in 2021 and after a few months of being in town were hoping to put roots down and live in Franklin long term. God gave them that opportunity when Pastor Tyler took a step in faith to plant Franklin Chapel.
Tyler and Jessica have two dogs, Winnie a black lab mix and Wilbur a golden retriever. Tyler loves staying active playing pickleball, disc golf, and working out. He is learning to become a reader, every now and then finds himself in a theatre production, and can always go for a nice nap on Sunday afternoons. If you would like to get in contact with Pastor Tyler feel free to email him at tyler@franklinchapel. com.
Pastor Jesse Baize is the Spiritual Formation Pastor of Franklin Chapel. He was born in English, Indiana. Jesse met the Lord when he was 13 and came to know Him deeply through prayer and worship.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministries from Lindsey Wilson College and later earned his Master’s in Biblical Interpretation from Colorado Christian University. He has spent the majority of his ministry career shepherding congregations into worship but has fallen in love with teaching others to shape their entire lives as worship in a process called spiritual formation.
Pastor Jesse is married to Caitlin, who is an elementary school teacher by trade but has recently accepted a call to be a stay-at-home mother to their children, Shepard and Murphy. They currently live in Bowling Green but feel a direct call to serve in Franklin.
Jesse is the resident nerd of Franklin Chapel and enjoys anything and everything that might entail—books, bread-making, coffee, etc. If you would like to get in contact with Pastor Jesse, feel free to email him at FormationFranklinChapel@gmail.com.
